Product Overview

What is Caro VentDry™?

Air vents are a known vulnerability in flood protection. Caro VentDry™ has been thoughtfully engineered to provide a simple, dependable solution, combining a robust design with rapid deployment and a complete protective seal. By eliminating the need for moving components or time-sensitive installation processes, Caro VentDry™ delivers reliable performance and peace of mind when every moment counts.

Caro VentDry™ is a two-part deployable flood vent cover. A fixed wall frame is installed over the existing vent opening by a competent installer. The cover panel is then stored nearby and placed into the frame by the property occupant when a flood warning is issued. When the flood risk passes, the cover is simply removed and normal ventilation resumes.

The cover panel is manufactured from WCB (Waterproof Construction Board), a 100% waterproof board made from recycled PVC-U. Unlike timber-based alternatives, WCB will not absorb water, swell, or rot, and carries built-in antibacterial properties as standard.

Caro VentDry™ is designed with BS 851188-1:2019+A1:2021 certification as a target. Internal testing has already demonstrated the cover panel can withstand static water pressure without leakage for over 48 hours, a strong indication of the product's flood resistance performance. Formal independent testing will be completed in due course.

How It Works

From installation to deployment

1

Fit the frame

A competent installer fits the Caro VentDry™ wall frame over your existing vent or airbrick opening. This is a one-time installation, designed to remain permanently in place.

VentDry Step #1
2

Everyday ventilation

In normal conditions, the frame is left open. Your property continues to benefit from the ventilation it needs.

VentDry Step #2
3

Deploy on warning

When a flood warning is issued, place the Caro VentDry™ cover panel over the frame. No tools are required.

VentDry Step #3
4

Hold back the water

The cover panel holds back floodwater for the duration of the flood event. Internal testing demonstrated zero leakage over 48 hours of static water contact.

VentDry Step #4
5

Remove and restore

Once the flood risk has passed, remove the cover panel, store it safely, and ventilation resumes immediately.
